Asclepias verticillata (Horsetail/Whorled Milkweed)

Asclepias verticillata, commonly known as Horsetail or Whorled Milkweed, is a perennial plant native to North America. It is a member of the Asclepias genus, which is known for its importance as a nectar source for butterflies, particularly Monarchs. Horsetail Milkweed grows to a height of 1-2 feet and has narrow, lance-shaped leaves that are arranged in whorls around the stem. The plant produces small clusters of white flowers in the summer, which are attractive to pollinators. It prefers well-drained soil and full sun exposure.
