Asclepias fascicularis (Narrowleaf Milkweed)
Asclepias fascicularis, commonly known as Narrowleaf Milkweed, is a perennial herbaceous plant native to western North America. It has slender, upright stems and narrow, lanceolate leaves that are arranged in fascicles. The flowers are small and pink and are borne in dense clusters at the ends of the stems. Narrowleaf Milkweed is an important nectar source for butterflies, especially the Monarch butterfly. It grows to a height of 1-3 feet and has a spread of about 1-2 feet.
