Artemisia tridentata (Basin/Big Sagebrush)

Artemisia tridentata, commonly known as Basin/Big Sagebrush, is a perennial shrub native to western North America. It is a highly aromatic plant with silvery-green foliage and small yellow flowers. The leaves have a distinct three-lobed shape, hence the species name 'tridentata'. Sagebrush is an important plant in arid and semi-arid regions, providing habitat and food for wildlife, as well as traditional medicinal uses by Indigenous peoples.
