Arisaema triphyllum, commonly known as Jack in the Pulpit, is a North American wildflower. The unique flower consists of a green spathe (the 'pulpit') that wraps around a spadix (the 'Jack'). The spathe can be green, striped, or even purple. This perennial plant grows up to 2 feet in height and features three leaflets that give rise to its scientific name 'triphyllum'. It is commonly found in moist and shady forest habitats.
