Arenga engleri, also known as the Sugar Palm or Formosa Palm, is a clumping palm native to Taiwan. It features a cluster of slender, arching, feather-like fronds that can reach a height of 8-9 feet. The palm produces attractive orange-red fruit that are edible and used to make sugar. Arenga engleri is hardy in USDA zone 9b.
