Ampelopsis quinquefolia (Virginia Creeper vine)
The Virginia Creeper vine, scientifically known as Ampelopsis quinquefolia, is a deciduous climbing vine native to eastern and central North America. It is known for its abundant green foliage that turns a spectacular red color in the fall. The vine has compound leaves with five leaflets that provide an attractive and dense screen when grown on structures, walls, or fences. It produces small green flowers in the spring, which are followed by clusters of dark blue berries in the fall.
