Alnus nitida (Alder)

Alnus nitida, commonly known as Alder, is a deciduous tree that belongs to the Betulaceae family. It has a pyramidal shape with a dense canopy. The leaves are dark green and rounded with toothed margins. In the spring, it produces cylindrical male and female flowers in separate catkins.
