The Akebia quinata, commonly known as the Fiveleaf Akebia vine, is a fast-growing, deciduous vine native to East Asia. It has attractive, palmate leaves that consist of five leaflets. In the spring, it produces clusters of fragrant, purplish-brown flowers that give way to edible, sausage-shaped fruits. This vine can reach a height of 20-40 feet and has a spread of about 10-20 feet.
