Agave scabra (Rough Leafed Agave / Maguey)
Agave scabra, commonly known as Rough Leafed Agave or Maguey, is a succulent plant native to Mexico. It has medium-sized rosettes of thick, rough, grayish-green leaves with sharp teeth along the margins. The leaves have a distinctive rough texture, hence the name 'scabra'. This agave plant is highly drought-tolerant and can thrive in hot, arid climates. It produces a tall flower spike with yellow-green flowers, attracting pollinators such as birds and bees. Agave scabra can reach a height of about 2-3 feet and has a spread of 3-5 feet.
