The Artichoke Agave, scientifically known as Agave parryii truncata, is a unique succulent plant native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It is characterized by its rosette-shaped leaves that resemble the appearance of an artichoke. The leaves are thick, fleshy, and pale blue-gray in color, with attractive creamy-yellow margins and a prominent spine at the tip. This slow-growing plant can reach a height of about 2 feet and a width of 3-4 feet.
