Agave macdougalii (MacDougal's Century Plant)
Agave macdougalii is a succulent plant native to Mexico. It is characterized by its large rosette of thick, fleshy, blue-green leaves with sharp spines along the margins. The plant can take up to 10-15 years to reach maturity and start producing a tall flower stalk. However, after flowering, the mother plant dies but leaves behind pups or offsets that continue the life cycle. This plant is drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, making it suitable for xeriscapes and arid gardens.
