Agave lurida (Century Plant)

Agave lurida, commonly known as the Century Plant, is a striking succulent that forms a rosette of long, pointed, blue-green leaves with sharp spines along the margins. This slow-growing perennial takes several years to reach maturity and produces a tall flower spike, often around 30 feet in height, with clusters of small yellow flowers. The plant typically dies after flowering but can produce numerous offsets to form a colony.
