Acer macrophyllum, commonly known as Oregon Bigleaf Maple, is a deciduous tree native to the Pacific Northwest region of North America. It has large, palmate leaves with 5-7 lobes, and its bark is smooth and gray when young, becoming furrowed and rough with age. The tree produces small greenish-yellow flowers in the spring, followed by seed-filled samaras. It is a popular shade tree in gardens and parks.
