The Acer griseum 'Gingerbread', commonly known as the Paperbark Maple, is a small deciduous tree that belongs to the Sapindaceae family. It is well-known for its striking cinnamon-colored bark that peels in thin paper-like curls, adding interest to the landscape. The leaves are trifoliate and turn vibrant shades of orange and red in the fall. It produces small winged samaras in clusters which add further ornamental value to the tree.
