Acanthus spinosus (Spiny Bear's Breeches)

Acanthus spinosus, commonly known as Spiny Bear's Breeches, is a herbaceous perennial plant native to the Mediterranean region. It is characterized by its large, deeply lobed, and glossy dark green leaves that have spiny margins. During summer, tall flower spikes emerge from the center of the plant, bearing pinkish-white flowers with purple bracts. The plant grows up to 3 feet in height and 2-3 feet in width.
